Free to use. Pay only for a bigger render.
Every plan has the same voices, the same captions and the same exports. What you pay for is how much fits in one press of Generate, how many credits you have each month, and how long a listen link stays up.

Credit packs
Paid once. No subscription.
Credits on top of your monthly pool, spent after it and soonest to expire first. While a pack has credits left, a Free account renders at Plus size (20,000 characters) and new listen links stay up for a month. Unused credits lapse when the pack expires.

How the allowance works
It is measured per render
The allowance is the most one press of Generate can use. On Free that is 7,000 characters, about 7 minutes of speech. On Pro it is 30,000, about 31 minutes.
Credits are the month
One credit is one character. Free has 50,000 a month, Pro has 500,000, and the pool renews 30 days after it opened. A pack adds more without a subscription. A render's allowance is the faster clock: back 2 minutes after you use it up, on every plan.
The voices never change
Paying does not unlock a better engine. It removes the sittings: a long article or a chapter goes through in one render instead of several.

Questions
- What is a credit?
- One character sent to the voice, spaces included. Every plan has a monthly pool of credits, each render spends its character count from the pool, and the pool renews 30 days after it opened. Previews, failed renders and transcription are never charged.
- What counts as a render?
- One press of Generate. Everything you send to the voice in that press is counted in characters, spaces included, which is the same unit the speech engine charges the site in. The counter in the editor shows the figure before you commit.
- What happens when the free allowance runs out?
- There are two limits, on two clocks. A render's allowance is back 2 minutes after you use it up, flat, with no daily cap: a long text is simply done in sittings. The monthly credits renew 30 days after the pool opened, and until then a credit pack or a bigger plan is the way to more.
- Are the voices better on a paid plan?
- No. Every plan has the same voices at the same quality, with the same word-timed captions. Paying changes how much fits in a single render and how long a published listen link stays up, nothing else.
- Do I need a card for the free plan?
- No. Generating audio needs a sign-in with Google or an email address, and that is the only step. Nothing is charged, and nothing asks for a card until you choose a paid plan yourself.
- What is a credit pack?
- Credits bought once, with no subscription behind them: 100,000 for $5, 300,000 for $12, 750,000 for $25, valid for 30, 90, 180 days respectively. They sit on top of your monthly pool and are spent after it, soonest to expire first. While a pack has credits left, a Free account renders at Plus size and new listen links stay up for a month. Links published before the pack keep the expiry they were given.
- Can I cancel a plan?
- Any time, from your account. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for and then drops back to Free. Nothing you made disappears, and your settings, favourites and presets stay as they were.
- Is my text stored when I pay?
- The same as when you do not. Text goes to the speech provider to be turned into audio and is not kept on the server. The one exception is a listen link you publish on purpose, which stores that recording until the link expires or you delete it.
