Questions
- Is my document uploaded anywhere?
- No. The .docx is opened and read inside your browser, so the file itself never leaves your device. Only the text you then choose to generate is sent to be spoken.
- Does it work with old .doc files?
- No — only the modern .docx format. Open the file in Word or Google Docs and save it as .docx, and it will work here.
- What happens to images, tables and comments?
- Only the text of paragraphs is read. Images are skipped, table cells come through as plain text, and tracked changes and comments are ignored.
- Will headings be read out?
- Yes, as ordinary paragraphs. If you would rather they weren't, delete them in the editor before generating — nothing is fixed until you press Generate.
